Project Background
In BRASS phase 1, analysis regarding the situation and action plan to improve the water supply system with nature-based solutions was not conducted in the target locations Casabauk and Beiseuk village. However, in BRASS phase 2, the project will seek to collaborate with local NGO experienced in Integrated water Resource management with NBS approach to work together to analyze the situation and actions of the water system with nature-based solutions, including interventions in existing suco Casabauk and Biseuk and new village Matai in Maucatar Post Admin.
Objectives
- Assess local water stress and ecosystem degradations
- Support WVTL staff and partners in participatory water resource planning
- Co-develop IWRM Strategies frameworks
- Identify suitable NBS approach
- Strengthen local capacity for sustainable water governance
- Supervise and monitor the NBS Implementation process
Scope of Work
- Submit proposal for water stress analysis and watershed management
- Conduct participatory assessments in three selected Sucos
- Prepare technical documents regarding water stress analysis
- Provide technical support and facilitate community workshops
- Develop and provide community training materials
- Provide supervision and troubleshooting
- Provide final report with policy recommendations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in watershed management
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing water stress issues
- Legal registration in Ministry of Justice in Timor-Leste and FONGTIL
- Qualified staff with technical expertise in watershed management and NBS
