Under the supervision of the WASH Officer, support the identification locations for rural water supply system projects in Ainaro and Viqueque and develop complete hydraulic analysis, drawings and cost estimations for each system and monitoring water catchment management projects in Ainaro, Viqueque and Aileu and Dili.
Work Assignment
- Project location selection & Baseline data collection with mWater
- Working together with DNRAS, SMASA and BTL municipalities identify targeted locations
- Systems will benefit to community, schools and health facilities
- System will integrate with water catchment management activities
- Conduct baseline data collection with mWater
- Water source assessment
- Demography beneficiaries' assessment
- Collaborate with BTL and MoH municipality on water quality testing
- Technical survey of gravity fed water supply systems
- Analysis hydraulic, drawings and cost estimate
- Community Action Plan Process (CAP)
- Company selection
- Construction Quality Assurance
- Water Catchment Management Projects monitoring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architecture (Diploma with 7 years experience can be equivalent)
- Minimum five years of professional work experience in WASH sector
- Experience in and knowledge of WASH sector
- Proven experience in liaising with government bodies
- Good knowledge of project management tools
- Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and oral skills in Tetum
