National Individual Consultant: Training Manual for Medical Forensic Examination

The UNFPA Timor-Leste Country Office is seeking a qualified National Individual Consultant to review and finalize the Training Manual for Medical Forensic Examination.

The consultant will review, finalize, and operationalize the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Medical Forensic Examination Training Package. The assignment will support its effective implementation through a capacity-strengthening initiative and develop an institutionalization roadmap to integrate the training package into the regular operational framework of the National Institute of Health (INSPTL) and the broader national health system.

Assignment Details

  • Duration: 30 working days between 18 August and 27 December 2026
  • Duty Station: Dili, Timor-Leste, with travel to municipalities as required

Required Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • An advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, Forensic Medicine, or a related field
  • At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in gender-based violence (GBV) response and health systems
  • Proven expertise in medical forensic examination and the clinical management of GBV
  • Demonstrated experience in training and capacity building, including the development and/or review of training materials
