Soft-skills Master Trainer (National Consultant)

Project Description

The Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Skills (YEES) Project aims to tackle two pressing issues in Timor-Leste's youth employment: limited opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship. The project is funded by KOICA for six years starting in 2022.

Objective of the Assignment

The Soft-skills Master Trainer will deliver Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions to selected trainers from stakeholders, including SEFOPE, MYSAC, training centers, and universities. The objectives include:

  • Help trainers acquire essential soft skills
  • Equip trainers with knowledge and skills to deliver effective soft-skills training
  • Teach various instructional methods and techniques
  • Equip trainers with effective facilitation skills
  • Guide trainers in developing comprehensive training materials
  • Improve trainers' communication skills

Expected Outputs and Deliverables

  • Submission of report for the first batch of ToT sessions by August 23, 2024
  • Submission of report for the second batch of ToT sessions and final report by September 27, 2024

Qualifications

  • University degree in Human Resource management, communications, management, or related field
  • At least two years of experience in human resource management and youth development programmes
  • Strong understanding of Timor-Leste's labor law and employment landscape
  • Experience in developing and delivering training packages
  • Fluency in English and Tetum
