Project Overview
The Disaster Ready phase 2.0 is a 4.5-year project funded by DFAT through Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP) and implemented by AHP agency partner across pacific and Timor-Leste. The objective is to strengthen disaster and climate change resilience for vulnerable groups in selected Pacific countries and Timor-Leste.
Objective
Train SDMC members to develop high-quality proposals for disaster preparedness activities and funding, based on DRR and CCA issues in their communities.
Scope of Work
- Contextualize the guideline for drafting a proposal for SDMC and implementing partners
- Training to SDMC and implementing partners on proposal writing
- Support SDMC and implementing partners in identifying community issues and drafting proposals
Required Qualifications
- Relevant educational background in project Management, communication, public engagement policy, community development, or disaster management
- Experience in proposal writing, development, and management
- Track record of designing or reviewing proposal guidelines
- Understanding of effective proposal writing
- Familiarity with international standards and donor-specific guidelines
- Previous experience in developing proposal guidelines and conducting training
- Understanding of local practices and cultural context in Bobonaro
