Under supervision of the Programme Specialist for Climate Change, the consultant will facilitate efficient coordination of programme preparation and implementation in Timor-Leste to contribute to the elaboration of the Climate-Social Services Regional Programme.
Work Assignment
- Coordinate and prepare for visits from Korean third-party evaluation teams
- Review existing climate-related data for the development of the Children's Climate Risk Index (CCRI)
- Track project preparation and implementation progress
- Support monthly EAPRO and TLCO climate progress meetings
- Support GCF concept note/proposal development
- Facilitate consultations with NDA, ministries, and communities
- Review climate information systems and databases
- Support infrastructure-related activities
- Prepare reports and work plans
- Provide technical support on climate smart social services
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Climate Studies, Environmental Science, Social Science, or related fields (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in climate change-related projects
- Experience with climate finance institutions like GCF
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
