Job Description
Under supervision of the Chief of Social Policy, Monitoring and Evaluation (SPME), support the UNICEF Office in Timor-Leste in the areas of disability, which include:
- Advocating with the Ministry of Finance on the disability marker to track disability inclusion in the state budget
- Supporting public consultations with people with disabilities at the municipal level
- Training youth organizations on engaging with youth and adolescents with disabilities
- Documenting case studies and success stories of UNICEF's programme interventions
- Coordinating disability-related activities within UNICEF Timor-Leste Office
- Reviewing and strengthening disability expenditure tracking
- Coordinating with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion on social protection schemes
- Working on data and evidence generation
- Developing proposals for resource mobilization
- Monitoring UNICEF-supported accessible infrastructures
- Supporting civil society organizations in monitoring disability-related activities
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree in Social Science or related field
- Minimum of six years of professional experience in social development
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize development issues and write high-quality reports
- Relevant experience in disability-related issues in Timor-Leste
- Excellent writing skills in English and facilitation skills in Tetum
- Experience working with international development agencies and governments
