Overview
UNICEF Timor-Leste is seeking for a national consultant to design and implement climate smart infrastructure in support of delivering climate smart social services under the sectors of WASH, Education, Health and Child Protection in Dili municipality.
Work Assignment
- First phase of infrastructure designs ready for calling for bids
- Calling for bids
- Contract award and mobilization
- Reaching at least 20% of scope of work
- Reaching at least 40% of scope of work
- Reaching at least 70% of scope of work
- Reaching 100% of scope of work
- Defects monitoring and field assessment
- Defects monitoring and designing of next phase
- Field level handover
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or architecture (Diploma in civil engineering with extensive construction project experience for at least for 5 years can be equivalent)
- Knowledge in solar PV systems design is desirable
- Minimum 5 years of experiences in project coordination or management, preferably with experience in UN and/or other international development agency
- Proven experience in liaising with government bodies
- Good knowledge of project management tools
- Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset
