Overview
UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, defend their rights, and help them fulfill their potential. Under the supervision of the Programme Specialist for Climate Change, the consultant will support the implementation of the KOICA-funded Climate Action for the Last Mile project and contribute to the development of the Climate-Smart Social Services and Infrastructure (C3SI) programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Review existing climate-related data for the development of the Children's Climate Risk Index (CCRI)
- Support preparation of Annual financial and technical reports
- Track and analyze national climate change policies
- Support GCF concept note/proposal development
- Support climate resilient infrastructure activities in Lautem and Viqueque
- Provide technical support on awareness raising and behavior change
- Support donor field mission planning
- Facilitate consultations with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Climate Studies, Environmental Science, Social Science, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years experience in climate change-related projects
- Experience with climate finance institutions like GCF
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
