Role Overview
Under the supervision of the Programme Specialist for Climate Change, the consultant will support the implementation of the KOICA-funded Climate Action for the Last Mile project, contribute to the development of the Climate-Smart Social Services and Infrastructure (C3SI) programme, and assist in exploring other funding opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review climate-related data for Children's Climate Risk Index (CCRI)
- Support preparation of financial and technical reports
- Track and analyze national climate change policies
- Support GCF concept note/proposal development
- Facilitate consultations with stakeholders
- Support climate resilient infrastructure activities in Lautem and Viqueque
- Provide technical support on awareness raising and behavior change
- Support donor field mission planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Climate Studies, Environmental Science, Social Science, or related fields (Advanced degree is a strong asset)
- Minimum 5 years experience in climate change-related projects
- Experience with climate finance institutions like GCF
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
