Background
Addressing systemic, multi-dimensional risk and underlying risk drivers requires a holistic, cross-cutting approach. UNDP is seeking a National Project Coordinator to support the implementation of a project focused on strengthening disaster and climate risk resilience in Timor-Leste.
Key Project Outputs
- Output 1 - Integrated Risk Governance: Strengthened disaster and climate-risk-informed development capacities
- Output 2 - Strengthened gender equality, women's empowerment and leadership through community-based resilience building
- Output 3 - Disaster and Climate Risk Information: Increased access to and application of climate and disaster risk information
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project Annual Work Plan and budget
- Supervise consultants and project staff
- Ensure procurement and financial management compliance
- Lead project monitoring, reporting and evaluation
- Coordinate with stakeholders and manage relationships
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree with 5 years experience OR Bachelor's degree with 7 years experience in relevant fields
- Experience in project management, environmental management, climate change, disaster risk reduction
- Fluency in English and Tetum required
- Knowledge of Portuguese and Bahasa Indonesia desirable
