About the Role

Plan International Timor-Leste is seeking a research consultant to conduct a comprehensive study on Child, Early, and Forced Marriage and Unions (CEFMU) in Timor-Leste. The research will assess progress made since 2017, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and explore women and girls' leadership in ending CEFMU.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement mixed-methods research across multiple municipalities
• Conduct data collection through surveys, interviews and focus groups with approximately 350 participants
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using appropriate software
• Produce inception report, draft and final research reports
• Present findings to stakeholders and develop communication materials

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in development studies, social sciences or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in development sector
• Proven experience conducting similar research on girls' rights and gender-based violence
• Strong analytical and report writing skills in English
• Proficiency in English and Tetun
