Local Design Coordinator

We are seeking a experienced Local Design Coordinator for a large scale Water, Sanitation and Drainage Project. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to join a well-established and reputable engineering and environmental consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to the project team with a deep understanding of Timor Leste's regulatory landscape.

Locally oversee the completion of the ANLA licensing process, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Oversee the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Management Plans, aligning with local requirements.

Conduct stakeholder engagement activities for diverse audiences, including government officials, ANLA, Succo Chiefs, community members, and international partners.

Establish relationships with local communities, employing effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Manage local sub-consultants and engineers for the seamless execution of project tasks.

Support the completion of large-scale census activities required to inform the project's design

Support the RAP process including the management of socio-economic surveys.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A Post Graduate Degree in a relevant subject is required a Masters degree is an added advantage.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in similar services, demonstrating a proven track record of success.

Fluency in Tetum/Tetun, Portuguese, and English languages (B2 level or higher of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR, Table 1).

Possess clear and concise communication skills, collaborating seamlessly within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.

Demonstrate an agile and "Can Do" mindset, being a self-driven individual with high standards.
