- Remuneration: Manager Level – 3a
Position's Objective
Project Manager - SHAPE CAR is responsible for providing overall management and leadership of the SHAPE CAR Project. SHAPE CAR PM will manage the implementation of staff and activities to makes sure the SHAPE CAR deliver strong support to farmer groups, cooperatives and saving and loan groups (VSLA) to increase production, aggregation, processing, collective market of the potential commodities, which will increase the family's income and savings. This includes overseeing the climate action for resilience (CAR) components.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Support the Component Manager and the Area Managers in project implementation
- Lead weekly planning/review meetings
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders
- Ensure integrated approach to value chain development
HR/People Management
- Supervise project team members
- Foster a positive team culture
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Mediate personnel issues and support capacity development
M&E
- Oversee reporting and progress tracking
- Prepare quarterly and bi-annual progress reports
- Facilitate monthly reflection meetings
Financial Management
- Manage project budget
- Ensure proper financial procedures are followed
- Maintain communication with Finance Manager
Education, Experience and Skills
- Diploma in Agriculture, Business Management, or relevant topics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agriculture or agribusiness development
- Strong technical knowledge in rural agribusiness management and/or climate resilience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Valid motorbike license
