Key Responsibilities
Project Implementation & Partner Support
- Support project teams and local partner NGO staff to ensure effective WASH project implementation.
- Provide technical assistance and on-the-job coaching to partner staff.
- Conduct routine field monitoring visits.
- Document monitoring and evaluation findings and regularly share reports with local NGO technical teams.
Community-Based WASH Assessment & Design
- Lead community-based WASH assessments in close coordination with the WASH Technical Coordinator (TC).
- Collaborate with SMASeA and PARTISIPA teams at the municipal level.
- Support the identification of appropriate, climate-responsive WASH solutions, including Nature-Based Solutions (NbS).
Capacity Building & Technical Support
- Coordinate with Project Coordinators and the WASH TC to strengthen partner staff capacity.
- Build capacity in project assessments, topographic surveys, NbS, hydraulic and infrastructure design, BoQ preparation, community action planning, GMF group establishment, and M&E aligned with the National WASH MIS/SIBSS using M-Water tools.
Government Engagement & Stakeholder Coordination
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local government authorities through SMASeA departments.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to align WASH projects with DNRAS guidelines and SOPs.
- Participate in municipal coordination meetings and technical forums.
General Responsibilities
- Support donor, sponsor, and stakeholder field visits.
- Assist in emergency or humanitarian WASH responses, as required.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the WASH TC.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in community-based or rural WASH project implementation.
- Experience working with NGOs, local partner organizations, and community structures.
- Proven experience in field monitoring, reporting, and partner support.
Education & Training
- Relevant educational background with practical experience in WASH project implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Preferred Knowledge & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of community-based WASH and rural water systems.
- Understanding of Nature-Based Solutions and climate-responsive WASH interventions.
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, M-Water and the National WASH MIS/SIBSS system.
- Excellent facilitation, coordination, and reporting skills.
