Background

World Vision Timor-Leste (WVTL) is a faith-based humanitarian and development organization committed to enhancing the well-being of children, youth, and communities. Operating in Timor-Leste since 1995, WVTL currently implements programs across Aileu, Baucau, Bobonaro, Covalima, Oecusse, Manatuto, and Ermera.

Purpose

World Vision Timor-Leste (WVTL) is seeking to engage a legal firm based in Dili, Timor-Leste to advise on legal matters relating to the operations of the organization in Timor-Leste. This engagement aims to ensure legal compliance of the organization with local laws and to support the organization in mitigating and managing risks.

Scope of Work

The legal firm will provide support on:

• Legal advice including consultations on policies and business transactions
• Review of contracts and other documents
• Risk mitigations and management
• Support on discrete legal issues on a case-to-case basis

Requirements

• Legal registration in Timor-Leste (evident by SERVE certificate)
• Representatives based in Dili
• Minimum 5 years operation in Timor-Leste
• Experience working with INGOs preferred
