Background
UNDP is supporting the Government of Timor-Leste, particularly the Ministry of State Administration, in their decentralization efforts. This role will provide financial and administrative support to the decentralization project.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure administration of budget and implementation of finance processes are in line with UNDP procedures and donor requirements
 - Prepare and modify budgets, monitor expenditures, and prepare financial reports
 - Review payment requests and transactions for compliance with UNDP rules
 - Manage procurement processes and provide administrative support
 - Support HR processes including hiring and contracts
 - Contribute to knowledge sharing on finance within the team
 
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or professional accounting qualification
 - 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting and procurement
 - Experience with financial systems like Quantum and PeopleSoft
 - Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
 - Proficiency in MS Office applications
 - Fluency in Portuguese or English required
