Background
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the leading development organization in Timor-Leste. Since 1999, we have been part of the country's success in many fields including its democratic reforms, inclusive growth, conflict transformation, green solutions and the development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Interns may be placed in one of the following teams:
- Democratic Governance Team
- Climate Change and Environment Team
- Programme Management / Quality Assurance
- Quality Assurance Team
- Operations Team
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support in gathering, analysing and maintaining data for ongoing and upcoming programme or projects
- Assist with daily administrative tasks
- Contribute to the development and updating of project work plans
- Assist in the coordination of workshops, meetings and events
- Develop knowledge products
- Engage with team members and external stakeholders
- Assist to develop pipeline projects
- Monitor and track the progress of assigned projects
- Support the communication team
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme
- Have recently graduated with a university degree (must start within one-year of graduation)
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program
