System Administrator

Core Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems, including servers, desktops, and laptops.
• Manage and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to Windows and Linux systems.
• Provide technical support to Quantech Lda clients, both in person and remotely.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system backups, software updates, and security patching.
• Monitor system performance and identify potential problems before they impact users.
• Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the Wintel environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Wintel Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, including server and desktop versions.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Good to Have

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure especially in Azure
• Experience with Azure Identify, Exchange and Teams
