IT Support Engineer

Core Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
• Provide basic troubleshooting and support for IT-related issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members when necessary.
• Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, offering prompt and courteous service.
• Help maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring that all equipment is properly tracked and managed.
• Support the setup and maintenance of user accounts, passwords, and permissions.
• Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
• Document support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.
• Assist in the deployment of new systems and software updates.
• Provide basic guidance to users on best practices for IT system use and security.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
• Strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Experience with Windows and/or Mac OS environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts is a plus.
• A positive attitude and a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
