The Partnership for Inclusive Prosperity / Parseria ba Prosperidade Inklusivu (PROSIVU) Program is an Australian Government program supported by DT Global. PROSIVU is the next phase of Australia's governance support to Timor-Leste. The program will extend Australia's longstanding partnership with Timor-Leste in support of good governance and economic policy development. It is Australia's primary program for providing support to Timor-Leste's central government agencies and economic line-ministries.

Position Overview

The Women's Economic Empowerment Specialist will contribute to the development of a national Women's Economic Empowerment Strategy of the Government of Timor-Leste. This is a local short-term position.

Essential Experience and Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree qualifications in gender and development studies, economics, social science or other related field
• A minimum of 10 years of experience of relevant work in the field of gender equality and women's empowerment

Desirable Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree qualifications in gender and development studies, social science, or related field
• Previous experience in development of GEDSI related strategies, research and analysis on the implementation of the gender policies, preferably in the field of women's economic empowerment

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Excellent written and spoken Tetum skills
