Position Overview
The Tourism Planning Adviser will support the Ministry of Tourism in developing their planning and priority-setting capabilities, ensuring coordinated efforts from all stakeholders in building the tourism sector and strengthening the supply side of tourism development, with a focus on managing key national tourism sites and assets identified in the National Tourism Strategic Plan.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in tourism planning, destination management or related field
 - Experience in successfully developing and implementing tourism development plans and strategies within similar government and country contexts
 - Experience working in or understanding tourism challenges in Timor-Leste or a similar context
 - Ability to use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software for spatial analysis and mapping

- This is an international Long-Term Adviser position
 - The position is part of the PROSIVU Program, an Australian Government initiative supported by DT Global
 - PROSIVU is Australia's primary program for providing support to Timor-Leste's central government agencies and economic line-ministries
