About PROSIVU

The Partnership for Inclusive Prosperity / Parseria ba Prosperidade Inklusivu (PROSIVU) Program is seeking a Gender, Disability and Social Inclusion Public Administration Consultant to contribute to the development of a national Civil Service GEDSI Strategy for the Government of Timor-Leste.

PROSIVU is an Australian Government program supported by DT Global. PROSIVU is the next phase of Australia's governance support to Timor-Leste. The program will extend Australia's longstanding partnership with Timor-Leste in support of good governance and economic policy development. It is Australia's primary program for providing support to Timor-Leste's central government agencies and economic line-ministries.

This is a local short-term position.

Essential Experience and Knowledge

• A university degree in gender and development, social science, economics or related field.
• At least 5 years (Master) or 10 years (Bachelor) of progressively experience in the field of gender, disability and social inclusion, with a substantial portion focused on empowerment of women and people with disabilities in public service workforce.

Desirable

• Master's degree qualifications in gender and development, social science, economics or related field.
• Previous experience in working on development of GEDSI related strategies, research and analysis on the implementation of the gender policies, preferably in the field of empowerment of women and people with disabilities in public service and employment in Timor-Leste.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and spoken Tetum skills.
