Introduction
Plan International Timor-Leste is seeking a consultant to conduct a Gender Equality Self-Assessment (GEISA) as part of our strong commitment to Gender Equality and Inclusion. This assessment will help understand and strengthen our capacity to address gender inequality and exclusion across our programs and operations.
Objectives
- To monitor and assess progress in implementing the GEI Policy
- To undertake a learning and review process on gender equality and inclusion across all of Plan's work
- To identify strengths, challenges and opportunities for improvement
- To define concrete steps and develop a Gender Equality and Inclusion Action Plan for the next five years
Scope of Work
- Propose detailed methodology, objectives, workplan and budget
- Provide training on GEISA steps and Gender Equality concepts
- Evaluate organization's policies, strategies and programs
- Conduct interviews and focus group discussions
- Analyze data and prepare reports
- Facilitate workshops and presentations
- Work closely with GESI team throughout the process
Expected Results
- Work plan for the GEISA
- Basic outcomes of gender equality and inclusion assessment
- Validation workshop
- Draft and final GEISA report
- Presentation materials
- Summary of recommendations and action plan
Required Qualifications
- Experience in gender and inclusion assessment
- Strong facilitation and analytical skills
- Experience working with organizations focusing on girls' rights
- Qualitative data collection skills
- Report writing ability
- Understanding of Gender Transformative Approach
- Knowledge of PSHEA, Safeguarding and Do No Harm Principle
