Coordinator Finance and Accounting (80% FTE)

Summary of Role and Responsibility

The Finance & Accounting Coordinator supports accurate financial processing, bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance for Oxfam in Timor‑Leste, ensuring timely financial information, strong internal controls, and adherence to donor and organisational requirements.

Type of Contract

  • Location: This position is based in Dili, Timor-Leste
  • Type of Contract: Fixed term, twelve-month contract - national contract and position is 80% FTE
  • Salary Category: D2

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in finance or accounting roles; INGO or donor funded experience is an advantage
  • Practical experience with cash-based accounting, including bank transactions, advances, and expenditure verification, bank & cash reconciliations, Journal, bookkeeping
  • Basic exposure to donor compliance, audits, or internal controls desirable
  • Working knowledge of accounting software and strong Excel skills (reconciliations, trackers)
  • Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Communicates clearly with programme and finance colleagues
  • Manages routine tasks and deadlines with accuracy
  • Willing to learn and follow established systems and procedures
