Consultant - Business Development

A Business Development Consultant in CFTL will responsible to identify and pursue new funding opportunities to support the organization’s programs and initiatives. This role involves researching potential and resent donors, building relationships with key stakeholders, and developing proposals that align with the organization’s strategic goals and priorities. Additionally, the consultant may collaborate with Country Director for being responsible to manage existing donor relationships, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, and providing regular reports on the impact of their work. A key aspect of this role is staying up to date with the funding trends, best practices, and funding opportunities in the international development sector.  

Scope of Work

  1. Research & Analysis

Conducting market research to identify potential funding sources, partnership opportunities, and trends in the international development sector.

  1. Proposal Development
  • Leading the proposal development process for existing and new project, including drafting the narratives, coordinate with the Head of Program, Technical Advisors, Project Managers, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
  • Take primary responsibility for the drafting of high-quality concept notes and funding proposals, including TOC, Log Frames and Budgets.
  • Serving as lead writer where required for variety donors.
  • Leading the program design workshops, collaborate with related MEL team, Project Leads, Technical Advisors, Head of Programs, and Country Director.
  • Ensuring target partner organization involvement in the consultation, proposal development, log frame and budgets.

Methodology

The methodology will be including:

  • Desk review.
  • Consultation meeting with funding organization for research & Analysis
  • Consultation meeting with ChildFund Australia, CFTL and relevant partners.
  • FGD online and offline
  • Result presentation

Selection Criteria for Consultant

At the minimum, the lead consultant must possess the following:

B. EDUCATION

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business studies, marketing, or international development. A master's degree or higher can be a plus.

C. EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in business development or related field for at least 5 years of relevant experience is expected.

D. KNOWLEDGE

Understanding of the international development sector, donor requirements, and business principles.

E. LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluency in English is required and proficiency in other languages can be a plus.

The Consultant must be available for distance (skype, zoom or MS Teams) and face-to-face meetings, as necessary, Qualified national candidates, women and persons living with disability are encouraged to apply.
