Team Leader, Strengthening Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Awareness and Capacity

About the Project

Catalpa has been engaged by the Sanofi Foundation to support the "Enhancing NCD Prevention and Care in Timor Leste through Community Engagement and Improving Health Worker Skills" project. This project aims at assisting the Timor-Leste's Ministry of Health (MoH) to address the pressing challenge of preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases (NCDs), a problem that is both highly prevalent and, to some extent, overlooked in Timor-Leste.

About the position

The Team Leader will be responsible for leading the project from the Discovery & Design phase through to the implementation of the program, working closely with the Catalpa team; Sanofi as the project client; the MoH and Municipal Health Services; and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in project management of donor funded health related projects in Timor Leste
• Good understanding of working in partnership with government in Timor Leste
• Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English
• Client-focused and solution oriented
• Ability to manage teams and encourage high performance
• Experience in or passion for leading an innovation agenda
• Strong reputation in the Government of Timor Leste and international development sector
• Expertise in NCDs and hypertension in a clinical setting (advantageous)
