Digital Policy Specialist

We are picking up the pace with tendering for digital projects this year, and as Catalpa continues to grow, so does our appetite for awesome talent. 

We are bidding for a range of projects in the digital space, and you can join our team in plenty of ways!  Specifically, we’re looking for high quality people for the following role:

Digital Policy & Governance 

- immediate need, short term consultancy role

- 30-40 days input within a 6 month period

- Combination of work in Dili, Timor-Leste as well as remote work from home base.

Requirements

We want to hear from you if you have the below experience, skills, or interests:

• Digital policy development
• Report writing (English language) - such as diagnostic reports, country reports, data analysis, assessment of institutional and regulatory readiness
• Understanding of AI technologies (from a user and policy perspective)
• Experience with UN’s AI Readiness Assessment Methodologies/frameworks
• Previous experience working on advocacy for digital policy development in Asia Pacific
• Human Centred Design methodologies
• Conducting research and analysis and/or implementing programmes/projects on the ethical, legal, social and governance issues of artificial intelligence and related digital technologies
• Skills in high-level stakeholder consultation and management in diverse contexts
• High level written skills
• Experience in Timor Leste preferred
• Can speak fluent English, and Tetun and Portuguese preferred but not required
