Selection Criteria
- A high level of communication and interpersonal skills that can be applied in building productive working relationships with the Government of Timor-Leste, implementing partners and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing programs related to humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction, and management challenges in Timor-Leste.
- Understanding of contemporary Gender Equality issues and a willingness to undergo specific training provided by the Embassy.
- The ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team;
- Knowledge of aid management and development policy.
- Demonstrated strong administration and program management capability including strategic planning, managing towards outcomes, financial management, and risk management.
- Personal initiative, good judgement and responsiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of aid management and development policy.
- Qualifications in a relevant field would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office computer applications.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Tetum.
Salary
USD$17,106.24 per annum (excluding 13-month salary)
Other Requirements
- Satisfactory police clearance and medical check required
- Position involves travel in Timor-Leste and may involve limited international travel
