Background
The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. ADRA Timor-Leste has worked in Timor-Leste since 2010 in various sectors including agriculture, WASH, value chain development, women empowerment, and humanitarian responses.
Project Background
The Hakbiit Feto Project is an EU-funded project aimed at empowering women socially and economically through three specific outcomes:
- Strengthening CSOs to support development and women's empowerment
- Promoting supportive family relationships for societal and economic participation
- Supporting women's engagement in society and economy through value chains and market systems
General Objective
To measure the impact and effectiveness of project activities, identify success factors, and learn lessons for future initiatives and advocacy efforts.
Proposal Requirements
General Professional Experience
- Timorese nationals or long-term foreign residents with in-depth knowledge of Timor-Leste CSOs and women's empowerment issues
- Strong communication skills in English and either Portuguese, Tetum or Bahasa Indonesia
- Ability to comply with ADRA TL procedures, guidelines and policies
Specific Professional Experience
- Postgraduate degree in statistics, agriculture, economy, social or gender studies, or other relevant fields
- Strong knowledge in data collection, analysis and reporting
- Professional background in civil society, development, gender, or value chain sectors
- Minimum 5 years of experience in evaluations, baselines, midline, assessments, and studies in the project context
- Good understanding of gender equality issues and women's economic empowerment in Timor-Leste (preferred)
