The objective of the recruitment of Monitoring Evaluation Accountability Learning (MEAL) Assistant is to assist the MEAL Specialist to implement the monitoring and evaluation activities by conducting field monitoring to observe progress and collect quantitative and qualitative data and impact stories from CSOs and the groups.
Key responsibilities:
The MEAL Assistant will support and work in collaboration with the project MEAL Specialist with the following key activities:
- Conduct reassessment to Rede Feto and CSO members in four municipalities to measure progress after the delivery of support, training and mentoring;
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data, lessons learnt, challenges and impact information;
- Conduct field monitoring to see the progress of CSO’s activities in four municipalities (Ainaro, Baucau, Bobonaro and Dili) based on MEAL plan;
- Collect and write success stories of beneficiaries from community and CSOs;
- Conduct data entry, analysis and report to MEAL Officer and PM;
- Support the Rede Feto Secretariat and CSOs/third-party partners on community mobilization efforts through communication;
- Actively collecting and responding to feedback from target communities, CSOs and stakeholders based on the established Community Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM);
- Support MEAL Specialist to prepare the qualitative and quantitative data for the quarterly and annual report.
- Maintain and create strong relationships with key implementing partners and local CSOs members.
- Perform duty as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and skills:
- Minimum graduated from high school (a university degree in social science, gender or agriculture is an advantage);
- At least two years’ experience working in related field (work as survey enumerator is counted);
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills;
- Has experience working with Local Civil Society Organization is more advantage;
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision;
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft office and specially MS. Excel;
- Ability to speak English is an advantage;
- Has no limitations to travel to the field;
- Able to ride motorbike with valid driving license;
