Logistic Assistant + Driver

Logistics

  • Assist in the logistics for all WVTL’s programs/projects. 
  • Assist in exploring opportunities, relationships, and plans to reduce losses and improve requirements, and communicate these to program and field staff in systematic ways.
  • Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure that the correct amount and type of stock is delivered.
  • Assets/Warehouse
  • Receiving/arranging warehousing, checking, recording and following up, where necessary, all goods purchased.
  • Manage tracking of WV assets register and inventories.
  • Ensure that all waybill out on staff and projects are returned to the logistics assistant.
  • Pick up and count the goods at the supplier
  • Follow up with the project staffs to ensure the copy of the waybill out are return for filling.

Driving

  • Utilize vehicles for World Vision projects or general office related matters.
  • Drive responsibly, following traffic directions and respecting established speed limits and any other internal regulations for the use of vehicles.
  • Maintain daily logbooks which include kilometres driven each day, party driven or task assignment, any irregularities or damage to vehicle, any maintenance carried out on the vehicle.
  • Prepare accident report to WVTL Load or carry passenger luggage Load and unload goods to the vehicle
  • Ensure vehicle safety procedure Goods distributions to all Aps Ensure the baby within breastfeeding are sit in proper children car sit before running to the field or any WVTL office.

Maintenance of vehicle

  • Report vehicle for maintenance according to the established mileage or any major breakdowns.
  • Carry out general maintenance of the vehicle which includes cleaning, tire pressure, brake fluid, radiator, oil check, fuel supply, and spare tire.
  • Assist set-up vehicle maintenance card for each vehicle. Provide service report for each service and highlight any potential problem that has not been dealt with in the current service.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance. Complete daily maintenance and repair
  • Help mechanic for repair and services vehicle

Other

  • Assist to Humanitarian Emergency Disaster management
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
  • Attend and participate in the leadership of daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.

Required Professional Experience​

  • Basic, routine work experience in an office of 6-12 months.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • High School Diploma with 6 Months to 1 Year of work experience, preferably with NGO/INGO
  • Effective computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, and various software applications and databases.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • The ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
  • The ability to speak and understand English.
  • Position may require a class C driver's license.
