Driver (Full-Time and Part-Time)

Job Purpose

Support all project activities that require vehicles, both activities that require transportation to the field and activities using vehicles for load and unload goods. Ensure visitors who obey the rules of safety fleet. Ensure passengers' belongings safely arrive at their last destination. Ensure the worthiness of the vehicle by complying with all traffic regulations and organizational regulations relating to the use of vehicle. Ensure the vehicle are serviceable and registered.

Key Responsibilities

Driving (60%)

  • Utilize vehicles for World Vision projects or general office related matters
  • Drive responsibly, following traffic directions and respecting established speed limits and any other internal regulations for the use of vehicles
  • Maintain daily logbooks which include: kilometers driven each day, party driven or task assignment, any irregularities or damage to vehicle, any maintenance carried out on the vehicle
  • Prepare accident report to WVTL
  • Load or carry passenger luggage
  • Load and unload goods to the vehicle
  • Ensure vehicle safety procedure
  • Drive to National Office, AP and RAEAO (Oecusse) if need thorough land border
  • Goods distributions to all project area
  • Ensure the baby within breastfeeding are sit in proper children car sit before run to the field or any WVTL office
  • Drop and pick up WVTL staff, partners and guest

Maintenance of Vehicle (35%)

  • Report vehicle for maintenance according to the established mileage or any major breakdowns
  • Carry out general maintenance of the vehicle which includes cleaning, tire pressure, brake fluid, radiator, oil check, fuel supply, and spare tire
  • Ensure adequate fuel at the end of each day
  • Assist set-up vehicle maintenance card for each vehicle
  • Request vehicle spare parts when needed
  • Provide service report for each service and highlight any potential problem that has not been dealt with in the current service
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair
  • Help maintenance for minor repair and services vehicle

Others (5%)

  • Assist on Humanitarian Emergency Disaster Management
  • Participate and lead in World Vision Spiritual Nurture activities (devotion)
  • Load and unload goods to vehicle in terms of logistic support

Qualifications

Required Professional Experience

  • Two (2) Years of driving experiences
  • Experience working with INGO or International Companies, contractors or agencies

Required Education, Training, Licences, Registration and Certifications

  • Senior High School, Diploma or University Degree

Document Required

  • Cover Letter and CV
  • Valid Driver Licenses, B1, B2 or C1
  • Valid Passport or willing to issue Passport
  • Valid Police Background Check (Bom Comportamentu)
