Communication Support Clerk

  1. Provide internal and external communication clerical task to support communication strategy for communications and outreach of the program.
  2. Collect interviews document for the project to produce a project success history 
  3. Maintain the program’s website and social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube) by daily monitoring, posting, content plan/design/development, etc
  4. Perform clerical task to monitor and collect articles, press releases, and other advocacy/information materials.
  5. Performing archiving  of communication materials, including digital, such as publications, press releases, photographs, audio-visual materials, etc.
  6. Collect and sharing all technical aspects of video recording and editing and photography to Project Manager for further action. 
  7. Undertake any other actions related to communications as requested by the team of the program. 
  8. The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Institutional Arrangement
The Communication Support Clerk will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager in collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Communication Officer and all other YEES team members. The cost of travel to different locations shall be paid by the UNDP YEES Project and the project will support the provision of transportation services.

Required Skills and Experience Education:

  • Secondary education is required.
  • University degree (bachelor’s degree) in communications, public relations and public administration will be given due consideration but is not a requirement.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum four years (with secondary education) or one year (with Bachelor´s degree) of work experience in the areas of communication or public relations.

Required skills:

  • Able to work independently – with minimum supervision and guidance and ability to focus on a variety of tasks within a deadline-driven environment;
  • Experience working with government counterparts and international organizations is an advantage.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Communication and outreach programme;
  • Experience in archiving communication materials.
  • Proficiency in managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and able to gain analytical insight into those platforms;
  • Skilled in the photo and video editing software or platforms (e.g., photoshop, Canva, iMovie, adobe premiere, etc).

Required Language(s):

  • Fluent in Tetum and English is required
