We are seeking a highly experienced Accountant to support the financial administration of an international infrastructure project located in Timor-Leste. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project financial records, progress billing, taxation, and payroll administration while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and project contract requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation for project activities.
- Inputting and monitoring project expenses, assets, debts in the Accounting System to ensure alignment with the approved project budget.
- Manage tax reporting and compliance in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with internal departments and project teams regarding financial and accounting matters.
- Assist in financial audits and ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in project-based environments.
- Knowledge of costing, progress billing, taxation, and payroll.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Business or Conversational in English, written and spoken.
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
