Liaise with Municipalities and Civil Society Organizations to strengthen their capacity to engage Village Health Assemblies and Community Leaders for community-based monitoring for primary and community-based health services.
Establish quality of primary healthcare performance via community-based monitoring results by municipality to raise awareness of and demand for quality healthcare services.
Advocate and liaise with parliamentarians, high level ministerial officials from the ministry of health and finance to demonstrate the efficacy of health sector investments.
Build the ongoing relationship between high level ministerial officials, CSOs and municipalities to share information about health systems functioning, expenditures and value for money of health investments at the primary and community level.
Additional Responsibilities (depending on qualifications):
Improving the institutional capacity of MOH and Municipal Assemblies to implement evidence-based, rigorous Social Behavior Change planning based on global best practice that tailors messaging for FP/RH, MNCAH, nutrition.
Engaging the MOH stakeholders and other implementing partners to develop/update outreach guidelines to encourage active case management to identify pregnant women, malnutrition cases, childhood illnesses to increase uptake of health sector services.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Masters preferred) in public health, community health, public policy or a related degree.
Clinical degree with familiarity with family planning, maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition would be an asset but not essential.
Strong knowledge and experience conducting advocacy campaigns which engage the community, municipalities, and civil society organizations to demand high quality health services.
Five years of experience with community mobilization, civil society engagement and locally led advocacy in the areas of FP/RH, MNCAH and/or Nutrition
Demonstrated experience providing capacity building assistance at individual and organizational levels
Preferred:
Strong knowledge and experience of social behavior change and promotion of high impact practices (clinical and multi-sectoral approaches) to improve access to and utilization of primary healthcare services with emphasis on: FP/RH, MNCAH and/or Nutrition.
