We are looking for an experienced (preferably Timorese) primary care physician with a passion for lifelong learning and patient-centred care.
The position is responsible for leading the development and delivery of health professionals technical in-service training across 14 municipalities, based on Ministry of Health service needs. The incumbent will work in a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals. The incumbent will receive training in clinical skills and Health Professionals Education. The incumbent will work closely with the Program Managers and Team Leaders of different teams, as well as other members of the administrative team. The role also involves considerable engagement with teams across all facets of Maluk Timor’s business. The position requires considerable travel (up to at least 50% working hours) to hospitals and community health clinics across Timor-Leste.

The Health Professionals Development Program's intended impact is to improve Timorese healthcare professionals' capability to deliver quality healthcare to their communities.
Key activities include
A. Workforce Development:
- Family Medicine Programmed (FMP), Continuing support to Graduated FMPs
- CPD-IPHC (Continuing Professional Education - Integrated Primary Healthcare)
- Faculty Development e.g. HNGV, INSPTL
- Support Healthcare Professional Associations e.g. AMTL, AETL
B. Co-Delivery of Services
- Clinical Placements for AMT Clinical Staff
C. Service Delivery Design
- E.g. developing guidelines, SOPs, protocols, tools.
D. Enabling Environment
- E.g. infrastructure construction / rehabilitation / maintenance; furniture, medical equipment, digital equipment.
E. Community Health
- E.g. Supporting development of PSFs.
F. Others
- E.g. AMT staff development, research, advocacy.
