Job Description
Under the Japanese Advisors dispatched to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MNEK), the employee shall provide management and logistics services in the following areas:
- Conduct administrative works including accounting, procurement, and general affairs
- Preparation of meetings and trainings by coordinating with government departments and other related national and/or international organizations
- Logistical arrangement for receiving missions from abroad and sending trainees overseas
- Preparation of business trips by the Japanese Advisors and other project-related personnel, Documents and information management, such as collecting, classifying, and filing
- Drafting official letters and other correspondence
- Any other duties requested by the Japanese Advisors necessary for smooth project implementation
Location
JICA Project Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Av. de Portugal, Dili, Timor-Leste
Contract Period
August 1st, 2025, to January 31st, 2026, with three months probation period. Possibility of extension until March 2027 for outstanding performers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Nationality of Timor-Leste
- University degree (BA from foreign university preferred)
- At least three years of relevant work experience in Project Management, Training Coordination at International organizations or Government Agencies
- Fluency in English and Tetum (Portuguese and Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage)
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- Basic business skills
- Basic knowledge of international assistance and cooperation preferred
