Job Overview
The Duty Manager assists the Front Office Manager in the administration and management of all Front Office operations to ensure profitability, control costs and quality standards, ensuring total guests' satisfaction. This role efficiently coordinates the day-to-day operation of the Welcome Desk and Guest Relations division, providing leadership at the frontline level.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively and provide clear direction to team members
- Interview, select, train, supervise, evaluate, and manage Front Office team members
- Monitor lobby traffic and manage VIP reservations
- Update systems, compute daily payroll, and prepare forecasts
- Manage the Front Office team and resolve guests' concerns
- Take responsibility as the Duty Manager in the absence of higher management
- Conduct training sessions and mentor team members
- Handle check-in processes and ensure guest satisfaction
- Manage complaints and follow up on problem resolutions
- Promote Hilton Honors program and maintain guest profiles
- Ensure communication between departments and maintain hotel systems
- Adhere to cash handling procedures and credit policies
- Manage costs and maximize revenue opportunities
Qualifications
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent mathematical comprehension
- Thorough organization and supervisory skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Proficiency in accomplishing tasks efficiently
