Logistics Officer

The role

The Logistics Officer plays a key role in supporting the Logistics Manager in ensuring the effectiveness of day-to-day operations of CARE's Logistics functions, including procurement, fleet, warehouse, asset, and inventory management. The position ensures full compliance with CARE's internal policies, safety standards, and documentation requirements.

Selection criteria

• Bachelor's degree in relevant areas such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in logistics and procurement function with minimum 4 years of experience, preferably with an International Non-Government Organization (INGO) or private company
• Demonstrate a customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
• Demonstrate ability to work in a diverse team
• Demonstrate a strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven experience in managing and administering cash advance
• Good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with logistics and procurement, SUN and other donors' systems as an advantage
• Good communication skills in Tetun required, and basic knowledge of English is an advantage
• Ability to work within clearly defined routines and plans; repetitive manual duties, with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate flexible approach and ability to work under pressure and to organize and manage workload to meet deadlines
