The Role
CARE in Timor – Leste is currently seeking a Finance and Admin Officer for a Potential Labor Mobility project subject to awards granting.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Under the supervision of the project manager, prepare requests for payments, cash advance based on the project needs
- Preparing acquittal for all activities related to projects
- Ensure all relevant project documents are filed and maintained properly with hard copies and soft copies in the server
- Assist the project personnel in preparing and submitting the monthly time sheet
- Ensure proper documentation for project payment and deposit
- With the guidance from the Deputy Finance Manager for the project, support the development of the project financial report
- Ensure that the project staff contact lists, including project key stakeholders, are well maintained and easy to access
- Preparing and purchasing monthly phone load (pulsa) for project staff
- Maintain a proper project staff database
Selection Criteria
- Minimum bachelor's degree in finance, administration, or any other relevant areas
- 3 years or more of professional experience in the relevant area, including but not limited to financial accounting, monitoring and reporting, budget planning, processing of transactions, use of financial management systems, audit
- Proven experience in handling projects finance and administration management
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to identify issues and formulate options/recommendations
- Demonstrated good knowledge of procurement functions, such as procurement of office equipment and supplies
- Excellent numerical skills
- Demonstrated strong problem solving, planning, analytical and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills in Tetum and good English skills desirable
