The organization is seeking a versatile Content Creator Officer to contribute to the development of diverse and engaging content. This individual will work in tandem with the Content Development Team Leader, focusing on the creation and optimization of stories, photos, and design elements. The goal is to enable donors and supporters to understand the challenges faced by impoverished communities, inspiring them to participate in the organization’s initiatives.

The Content Creator Officer will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and commissioning content. The ideal candidate should possess impeccable grammar and punctuation, a keen eye for aesthetics, and the capacity to excel in a high-pressure environment. Collaboration with educators and adherence to the Ministry of Education’s curriculum guidelines is also anticipated.

The organization is contemplating extending the role to encompass video script development. This expanded role will involve crafting captivating scripts for various video formats, especially for YouTube, and collaborating closely with the production team to develop scripts that effectively communicate key messages and engage viewers.

Essential skills include resilience, exceptional written and verbal communication, a thorough understanding of narrative structure, audience awareness, adaptability, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

The Content Creator Officer will work collaboratively with the graphic design, illustration, and communication teams. The position is based in Dili, with occasional travel required for field activities such as interviews and field testing.

1. Selection Criteria

• Minimum University Diploma and/or Vocational Training in Education and Communication or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in content creation, preferably in the education sector or with NGOs.
• Experience in scriptwriting or video script development is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Tetum.
• Strong research and editing skills.
• Creativity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to generate engaging content.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to support the production team function with integrity and implement procedures and processes with minimal supervision.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with different communities.
• High-level time management skills, including planning and managing workflows and balancing competing priorities to ensure timely processing to meet deadlines in a complex environment.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, planning, and attention to detail.
• Ability to take direction and to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn about CARE, gender equality, and women’s empowerment activities.
