Role Description

The Program Officer - Data for Decision-Making plays a key role in supporting our team, partners and communities in Timor-Leste to use monitoring and evaluation tools that support learning and adaptive management. This role provides guidance, training and support across key areas of monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, data collection, data capture tools, visualisation and interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data science work around measuring fisheries, social and ecological data through household surveys
• Measure programme performance and metrics of success linked to the organisation's Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
• Ensure quality in the delivery of all activities related to the collection, generation and storage of data
• Provide guidance, training and support in monitoring and evaluation tools
• Assist in data analysis, visualization, and interpretation

Qualifications

• Experience in data science, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and training abilities
• Familiarity with fisheries, social, and ecological data collection and analysis
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment
