DCP Assistant Transport Manager

The Defence Cooperation Program (DCP) of the Australian Embassy in Dili is seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to fill the position of Assistant Transport Manager (locally engaged staff, level 2).

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate achievement against the following selection criteria:

  • Ability to prepare, review and reconcile transport documents.
  • Understanding of scheduling and maintenance plans.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, plan, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in procurement and accounts payable processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain respectful and productive working relationships with a variety of individuals and organisations, and to work collaboratively to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Gender Equality, Disability Inclusion and Social Inclusion, and the ability to work respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should also have the following qualifications and/or experience:

  • High level of computer skills, especially in Excel and Word
  • Fluent in English, reading, writing and verbal
  • Fluent in Tetum
  • Desired - Bahasa Indonesia
  • Current Timor-Leste driver's license

Salary and Conditions

The salary for this position starts from USD 8,275.08 per annum for 37.50 working hours per week. This amount excludes the 13-month's salary.

Successful applicants are required to obtain a satisfactory police clearance and medical check. The position will involve travel in Timor-Leste and may also involve limited international travel.
