About TAFE Queensland and the Australia Pacific Training Coalition

TAFE Queensland is the largest and most experienced Vocational Education and Training provider in the State. The Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) is implemented by TAFE Queensland on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). APTC is a centre for training excellence, providing Australian-standard training qualifications and skills across the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications

  • Support the implementation of the APTC Communication Strategy
  • Assist the RHO Communications and Marketing Team in producing quality written materials, developing engaging content, and supporting multimedia storytelling
  • Monitor APTC's mainstream media exposure in Timor-Leste
  • Create and manage an APTC Timor-Leste image library

Partnerships

  • Collaborate with the Country Director on due diligence assessment processes for partners
  • Assist in finalizing partnership documentation and grant agreements
  • Coordinate with the Regional Head Office for fund disbursement to partners
  • Track progress of partnership activities and grants

Planning Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

  • Contribute to organizational reporting requirements
  • Implement MELF tools and guidelines for data collection activities
  • Support Country Office staff in capturing lessons and using program evidence

How you will be assessed

  • Degree level qualification or higher in related fields
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and presentation
  • Strong communication skills in Tetum and English
  • Experience in building stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and graphic design software

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience in post-secondary education, preferably TVET
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Experience in aid-funded or international development projects
  • Motor vehicle driver's license
